Wedged between eastern Europe and Western Asia, Turkey is a sun-baked slither of paradise which has seen the Greek, Persian, Byzantine, Ottoman and Roman empires pass through its borders and leave their mark. Consequently, expect a hodgepodge of cultures and mixture of architectural styles and eclectic cuisine – a real treat for history enthusiasts and foodie fanatics ready to whet their appetites with new, original flavours.

For this seven-night getaway, we’ll whisk you off to the country’s Turquoise Coast, a delectable stretch of coastline encompassing the provinces of Antalya and Mugla. You’ll board a Gulet – a type of Turkish yacht which originates from the southern coast of the country. This wooden sailing vessel will be your home for the next seven nights – and it’s nothing short of spectacular.

Get ready to visit a range of different sun-dappled islands, coves and bays which adorn the Turquoise Coast like jewels on a crown. Stop off to swim in teal-coloured waters, feast your eyes upon the reefs below and wander the shores of cosy islets, the sand cradling your toes so fiercely you’ll never want to leave.

Not only is this cruise great for sun-seekers, but history buffs and nature enthusiasts are also catered for. Visit Ekincik and see where Caretta Caretta turtles come to lay their eggs; make your way to the Fethiye Gulf where you’ll have the chance to explore the busting Fethiye marina and the area’s historical rock tombs, including the 4th century B.C. Tomb of Amyntas.

After some sightseeing, you’ll set sail once again towards a range of bays, coves and islands. Gosek Island and the Yassica Islands are like catnip to yachters and boast superlative views, while Kadirga Bay is a firm favourite for underwater archaeologists and divers.

After seven nights of island-hopping, you’ll dock back at Marmaris for your departure flight.
