2 weeks of sightseeing in Beijing, Hong Kong, Kyoto and Tokyo
This package holiday will see you visit four beautifully diverse destinations in Asia: Beijing, Hong Kong, Kyoto and Tokyo. Spending a handful of days at each, you’ll not only set off on eye-opening excursions, but also have plenty of time to relax and explore at your own pace.
For that reason, this getaway really is the best of both worlds. Not only will you come face to face with mesmerizing sights such as the Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square, but you’re also more than encouraged to throw yourself at the mercy of all of the other brilliant cultural gems which permeate the cities, begging to be explored.
The Chinese capital of Beijing will be your first stop. A diverse playground for ancient architecture and modern marvels, Beijing is home to the iconic Forbidden City complex, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven.
All this (and more) will be right at your fingertips during an organised sightseeing tour, where we’ve cherry-picked the city’s prime attractions to ensure you witness la crème de la crème.
And after the bright lights of Beijing, venture to Hong Kong – the former British colony whose skyline is characterised by bulging skyscrapers and intriguing architecture.
Home to the famous Stanley Market and I.M Pei’s Bank of China Tower, Hong Kong is the ultimate melting pot – a feast for the senses with its hustle and bustle and thronging night markets. Spend your time here touring this vibrant autonomous territory, gawping at enormous skyscrapers or chowing down on typical Chinese delicacies.
After spending three nights at the Metropark Kowloon Hotel, travel to Kyoto, Japan. Nestled on the island of Honshu, Kyoto is brimming with lush gardens, Shinto shrines, wooden houses and imperial palaces. Japan’s former capital is also a playground for World Heritage Sites including the captivating Nijo Castle built in the early 1600s.
In Kyoto you will have the chance to enjoy a tour of this beautiful city as well as participate in a traditional tea ceremony. In your free time in Kyoto be sure to also experience the formal tradition of Kaiseki dining (consisting of multiple courses of precise dishes) before heading off to your last destination: Tokyo.
As Japan’s capital, Tokyo is a vibrant, brightly lit realm where the ultramodern and the traditional collide together to create a much sought-after holiday combination.
Revel in the sights and delights of Tokyo during an organised city tour – jam-packed with visits to the city’s must-sees, including the opulent Meiji Shinto Shrine, the Imperial Palace and Sensoji Temple.
Culturally abundant and historically rich, Tokyo ticks all the boxes when it comes to action-packed, intriguing getaways and luckily for you, you’ll get to witness its charm first hand.
