13 Nights Of Safaris, Heritage Hotels And Tours Of Jaipur, Delhi And Agra

£1799/per adult

Your first stop on this spellbinding Indian adventure is Udaipur, fringed by teal-coloured manmade lakes and bursting with opulent royal residences. Get to know this scenic slither of paradise through a series of sightseeing tours.

See the striking Jagdish Temple, visit the Pratap Memorial area, and gaze out at the ripples of Lake Pichola during an afternoon boat ride before heading to Jodhpur. Jodhpur sits nestled in glowing desert landscapes – bathed in orange, the city is home to the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort which draws in visitors from across the globe.

Through organised excursions, you’ll marvel at the Jaswant Thada marble cenotaph and meander through the emerald hued Umaid public gardens before venturing to the state of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

Dubbed affectionately as ‘the Golden City’, Jaisalmer oozes yellow sandstone architecture and boasts a skyline defined by forts and havelis (Indian mansions). Visit the stunning 12th century Jaisalmer Fort by day (a sprawling hilltop citadel) and by night whizz off on a twinkling desert safari.

And then you’ll head to the Pink City of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and a veritable feast for the senses. Jaipur is chockful of gardens, courtyards and museums, and sitting at its centre is the opulent colonnaded City Palace complex. You’ll go on an exciting leopard safari during the day and watch a glorious sound and light show at Amer Fort in the evening.

Next up is Agra. This sun-kissed city on the banks of the Yamuna River is home to two cultural must-sees: the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Gawp at their splendid facades and pose for selfies, before spending the last leg of your trip soaking up the sun in Delhi, India's capital territory. Here, the timeworn neighbourhoods of Old Delhi collide with the thrumming bustle of New Delhi to create that perfect blend of old-meets-new.

Visit Gandhi’s memorial (Raj Ghat) and the Red Fort before hurling through Chandni Chowk Market on a rip-roaring rickshaw ride. Then, see India’s tallest stone tower (Qutub Minar), the India Gate war memorial and the stunning Lotus Temple.
