With captivating culture, remarkable history and incredible architecture all in abundance, Hungary’s capital is considered to be one of Europe’s most desirable city destinations, making Budapest holidays exceptionally popular among UK travellers.

The city’s unrivalled beauty can be adored from every corner, with quaint buildings occupying each of its scenic cobbled streets. Plus, the marvellous cuisine served here means you can end every evening savouring one of the many divine local dishes, before treating yourself to a nightcap in an ambient local bar. After you’ve quenched your thirst, head back to your comfortable hotel for a relaxing and rejuvenating night’s sleep. With the freedom to explore the city at your own pace, holidays to Budapest can be as relaxing as they are enlightening.

Visiting Budapest couldn’t be easier with Citrus Holidays; our travel packages take the difficulty out of organising a holiday, providing convenient flights and high-quality accommodation together in one deal. Whenever we can, we’ll also provide additional extras to your package, so you can enjoy an extra degree of indulgence and convenience during your holiday. For instance, our ‘3 Nights Budapest with Breakfast and Flights’ package also includes a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival and a city map of Budapest.

When travelling with us, you’ll be able to check what’s included in the price of your package; ensuring that there are no surprise fees to uncover when you arrive. You’ll always know what’s included in the price of your holiday and which extras will need to be paid for, too.

In fact, no matter how many extras we include in our packages, our holidays always offer great value for money. We believe that everybody deserves to experience a memorable holiday and that the holiday of a lifetime shouldn’t cost a lifetime of savings, which is why we always aim to make our trips as affordable as they are enjoyable.

Here at Citrus Holidays, we offer a variety of diverse Budapest holidays to embark on, starting with our ‘5 Star Stay In Budapest With Breakfast’ package, which provides a mini-break with added luxury, staying in the indulgent St. George Residence hotel. Sitting in the city’s Buda district, this central five-star hotel lies just off the Danube River; offering easy access to the city’s top sights while also providing a lavish suite for you to unwind in after a busy day of sightseeing.

Alternatively, enjoy two cities in one holiday by combining your visit to Budapest with a getaway to one of Europe’s many other picturesque destinations, via our ‘4 Nights Prague and Budapest Break’, or on our ‘6 Nights Budapest, Bratislava And Vienna with Train and Breakfast’ itinerary.

Whichever one of our excellent packages you choose, you’ll have the flexibility to discover Budapest’s finest sights at your own leisure. Start by taking in the astonishing Gothic architecture surrounding you, including St. Stephen’s Basilica, Buda Castle and the Hungarian Parliament Building. There is certainly no shortage of beautiful buildings to feast your eyes on here, either; the Hungarian State Opera building, the Royal Palace and the Budapest National Theatre make for spectacular viewing.

Over in the city’s Pest district, you will discover the iconic Heroes’ Square, which is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This bustling square is best recognised by the towering central column, which is topped by a statue of Archangel Gabriel. Just as significant are the colonnades, which sit either side of the statue, with each column representing one of Hungary’s most significant historical figures.

Whichever sights you choose to see, no trip to Budapest is truly complete without a visit to the city's famed thermal baths. Dubbed “the city of baths”, there are plenty of spas and baths located across Budapest to pamper yourself in while conversing with the friendly locals.

However, the city’s most famous baths are the Szechenyi Thermal Baths - the largest medicinal baths in all of Europe. The water is sourced from a pair of thermal springs, giving the baths a warming temperature of up to 70oC. There are also a number of pools here, the most notable of which being the three outdoor pools sitting in the shadow of the baths’ spectacular main building. These lavish pools even feature chess boards, where you and your friends can enjoy a friendly game while you enjoy a soak in the relaxing thermal waters.
