Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, one of our representatives will be there to assist you through airport customs and formalities. She/he will then escort you to your hotel by air-conditioned transfer. Check in to your hotel, freshen up and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN CAIRO

After an early hotel breakfast, begin your guided tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza (one of the Seven Wonders). These pyramids (named Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus) were built with 2,300,000 blocks – each one weighing around 2.5 tonnes. You can even go into the interior burial chambers of the Cheops Pyramid. 

Near the Pyramids you’ll find the Great Sphinx of Giza, dating all the way back to the time of Chephren (2620 B.C.). Standing 65 feet high and 187 feet long, it’s made of natural yellowish limestone, combining a Pharaoh’s head with a lion’s body. 

After the visit, there may be time to visit a papyrus institute or perfume shop. 

 This afternoon, pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum, established by the government in the early 1800s. The present building was built in 1900 by French architect Marcel Dourgnon and boasts over 120,000 different artefacts ranging from the pre-historic era to the Greco Roman period. The ground floor has huge statues while the upper floor has both statues, jewels, mummies and other treasures. You can also find a huge photography section and a large library within the museum. 

After visiting the museum, you’ll take a short drive through the downtown to the famous, labyrinthine Khan El Khalili bazaar.

OVERNIGHT STAY IN CAIRO

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll check out and then be transferred to Cairo Airport to catch your domestic flight to Hurghada. Upon arrival there, one of our representatives will be there to meet you and take you to your hotel where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure. 

OVERNIGHT STAY IN HURGHADA

Today, there is no set itinerary so you are free to spend it however you please. There’s so much to see and do in Hurghada; the city is divided into three different sections. We recommend having a stroll around the El Dahar area, home to the old market, bazaars and the Hurghada’s biggest Masjed. There’s also the El Sakala area, the site of more bazaars, cafes and the marina and port, and the newer Touristic Road sitting in front of the resorts. 

OVERNIGHT STAY IN HURGHADA

Today, we recommend discovering some of Hurghada’s offshore islands. The two most famous ones are Giftun and Mahmya – great places for diving and snorkeling if you fancy getting a closer look at exotic marine life.

Though snorkeling and diving are some of the main activities Hurghada is known for, you can also get up close to marine life with a glass bottomed boat ride. This might be something you decide to do today – or simply bed down on a lounger at your hotel and soak up the sun.

For your last day, why not do something a little bit different? In addition to boasting beautiful coral reefs and islands, Hurghada is also home to majestic desert and mountains. Today, you might decide to go on a Jeep safari or quad bike and explore the desert during a tour. You might also be able to ride a camel and get a taste of how the Bedouin people live their lives. 

Usually, after embarking on one of these tours, you’ll hunker down over a Bedouin barbecue dinner with traditional music.

After breakfast, you’ll check out and head to Hurghada Airport to catch your flight back to the UK. A representative will be there to escort you and help you check in for your flight, ensuring a smooth journey home.
