Hamilton Island is the only Whitsunday Island with its own airport. There is a direct connection to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and daily service to Brisbane. The airport is serviced by around 50 flights per week, with complimentary shuttle buses available to take you directly to your accommodation.
The island is only 5 km long from north to south, and 3.5 km wide from east to west, laid out so that everything can be reached easily. Your exploring can be done on foot, using the free Island Shuttle, or in a golf buggy which is available to hire on an hourly, half-daily or daily basis.
