TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 01
SAN FRANCISCO ARRIVAL / Arrive in San Francisco.
Transfer independently to your hotel. The
rest of the day is at leisure, we suggest a stroll
around the Union Square area and dinner at one
of the superb local restaurants.
DAY 02
SAN FRANCISCO / This morning at 08:00 you
will be met by an AmericanTours representative
and provided with a welcome kit which includes
driving instructions, vouchers, and maps for your
tour. Later you will have the opportunity to discover
the City by the Bay. We have included a
hop on hop off trolley tour that will help you get
your bearings and acts as a great way to travel
around the city. This afternoon plan to experience
Fisherman's Wharf, we have included a cruise on
the Bay to give you a unique perspective on the
city then pick up a bicycle (day rental included)
for the chance to ride across the Golden Gate
Bridge or simply visit Golden Gate Park, taking in
the city's majestic coast and historic Presidio. For
the ultimate San Francisco experience we have
included a one way cable car ride to return you to
your hotel for the night.

DAY 03 / DRIVING DISTANCE: 250 MI./ 405 KM
SAN FRANCISCO – CARMEL/MONTEREY – SAN FRANCISCO /
A further day to explore San Francisco,
we have included admission to 5 of the top
museums in town. Alternatively why not collect
your rental car and make the short drive South
to discover the beautiful towns of Carmel and
Monterey. Her you can discover Cannery Row
and Fisherman's Wharf or perhaps drive along 17
mile drive for a peek at multi million dollar homes
and the stunning coastline. We have included a
Whale watching excursion (seasonal and weather
dependant). Alternatively we also include admission
to the historic Carmel Mission. Return to San
Francisco for overnight.

DAY 04 / DRIVING DISTANCE: 125 MI./ 202 KM
SAN FRANCISCO – NAPA VALLEY / Leave
Today leave
San Francisco behind en route to the Napa Valley.
This area is renowned worldwide for the quality of
the wines produced here, and you will have the
opportunity to sample some of the best when you
tour the Ravenswood and Clos Pegase Wineries.
DAY 05
NAPA VALLEY / This morning we include admission
and tastngs to a selection of Sonoma wineries
- the perfect place to continue your wine country
experience. Treat yourself to a cultural adventure
with generous helpings of wine, food, art and fun!
On any given day, you might compare wines from
France, California and New Zealand; taste herbs
paired with wine; discover cuisine from Italy or
Persia; or indulge in a chocolate tasting experience.
This afternoon travel to nearby Sonoma
where we have arranged for you to taste wines
at the Sonoma Enoteca. Here artisan winemakers
from the area display their wines. Should you find
something you like you will receive a discount on
shipping a case of your chosen vintage home.
DAY 06 / DRIVING DISTANCE: 210 MI./ 338 KM
NAPA - YOSEMITE / Leave the wine behind as
we head inland to the stunning scenery of Yosemite
National Park. We highly recommend leaving
the car at the valley floor and taking on one of
the many trails to experience the true beauty of
Yosemite.
DAY 07
YOSEMITE – SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK – YOSEMITE / A further full day to explore Yosemite.
Park rangers are on hand to assist with planning
for day hikes or simply to explain the geologic
conditions that created this stunning area of California.
Don't miss the opportunity to visit Sequoia
National Park and Kings Canyon where the giant
sequoias are to be found.
DAY 08 / DRIVING DISTANCE: 195 MI./ 314 KM
YOSEMITE – SAN FRANCISCO DEPARTURE / Return
to San Francisco today in time for your return
flight.
