After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a tour of Kochi, where you’ll learn about the city’s colourful history, marked by Dutch, British, French and Portuguese influences. You’ll visit Fort Cochin, a centuries-old sea port, Vasco Da Gama Square and Santa Cruz Basilica. Then, proceed to St. Francis Church, India’s oldest European church built by Portuguese Franciscan Friars. Next, you’ll continue to the VOC Gate, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and Mattancherry Palace. 

During the tour you’ll be able to get back to nature with a visit to the seashore to meet the local fishermen who use traditional Chinese fishing nets – a totally different and innovative way of fishing! 

OVERNIGHT IN KOCHI

Check out and depart to Rasa Gurukul  Enroute to Rasa Gurukul you’ll also have the chance to visit the Jewish Heritage Museum at Paravur, which dates back to the early 17th century and boasts eye-catching architecture.

Next stop will be Vythiri in Wayanad, a leafy paradise in the Western Ghats. Here you can get back to nature as you marvel at the area’s natural beauty – the region is famous for its spice plantations, paddy fields, thick forests, caves and waterfalls. It’s also an area renowned for its wildlife.

Spend the evening at leisure, taking in the many sights and sounds of Wayanad.

OVERNIGHT IN WAYANAD

Firstly, you’ll visit a beautiful freshwater lake that is hidden amongst thick forest and wooded slopes. Then you’ll visit a selection of Wayanad’s tribal villages, including Nellarachal. At this small hamlet you’ll be able to interact with local tribes people, sample local cuisine, witness tribal weapon making, watching Eucalyptus oil being made and wander around the stunning local area.

The afternoon will be spent partaking in a one-hour Jeep safari through the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Muthanga. This dense rainforest is home to a whole host of incredible wildlife including panthers, elephants, tigers, wild dogs and monkeys, as well as a vast collection of bird life.

OVERNIGHT IN WAYANAD

After breakfast, you’ll head to the stunning Thottada Beach, located near Kannur. Renowned for its beauty, this 800-metre long beach has golden sand surrounded by lush vegetation.

Later, you’ll enjoy lunch at Tellicherry Town and wander the 18th century Tellicherry Fort and St. Johns Anglican Church. Known for its rich architectural heritage, Tellicherry has beautiful colonial architecture and an idyllic waterfront location.

OVERNIGHT AT THOTTADA BEACH

After breakfast, you’ll visit St. Angelos Fort in Kannur, which dates back to 1505, and was built by India’s first Portuguese viceroy. Here you can enjoy incredible views of the famous natural harbour in Kannur known as Mopilla Bay. Afterwards, you’ll head to Muzhappilangad Beach, Kerala’s “only drive-in beach”, where you’ll enjoy a drive across the sand, with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. 

The afternoon will be spent exploring the handloom villages of Kannur, before enjoying a colourful Theyyam Ritual in Kannur in the evening. This art form popular in northern Kerala featuring legends and stories of gods and celestial spirits, with performers dressed in fantastical costumes.

OVERNIGHT AT THOTTADA BEACH

After breakfast, you’ll travel by road to Nileshwaram Backwaters, before enjoying a one-hour country boat cruise. This area is full of natural beauty with coconut groves, local fishermen and various different sea birds.

After sitting down to breakfast, you can spend the morning at leisure before visiting Bekal for a local sightseeing tour.

You’ll visit Bekal Fort, the largest and best-preserved fort in all of Kerala. Constructed almost 300 years ago, the fort boasts marvellous views of the Arabian Sea and borders the pearly-white Bekal Beach.

You’ll then visit the unspoilt Kappil Beach, where you can head to Kodi Cliff for stunning panoramic views.

After breakfast, you can spend the day however you please as there is no set itinerary. Take advantage of the resort’s fantastic facilities or head to one of the beautiful neighbouring beaches for a day of relaxing on the sand.

After breakfast and check-out, you’ll be taken to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Once you reach Mumbai, you will be transferred to your hotel in Mumbai. Check in to the hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure.
